If you live in Australia or New Zealand, you’ve likely heard of AMP. But at a time when society is changing, we are too. We’re now a nimbler business with new leadership and thinking.
For us, these are exciting times. There’s real potential for people who want to make an impact, contribute to meaningful change and help redefine what financial services can be.
Help people create their tomorrow, while you create yours
We help people with their banking, super, retirement and finances. Through upturns, downturns, recessions and major life transitions, we help people see and make more of their financial potential, so they can create their tomorrow.
Our North wrap platform has been built for advisers, by advisers, helping them manage investments through a competitive and innovative offering. As part of the North Investment Operations team, you’ll support the financial transactions of North investment and superannuation products while contributing to improved client experience, operational efficiency and platform capability.
How you’ll make an impact
As Senior Analyst – Corporate Actions, you’ll play an important role in supporting the transformation of North platform capability by bringing Corporate Actions expertise, operational delivery and change support to the team. You’ll manage assigned deliverables with limited day-to-day direction, make sound operational decisions, and escalate moderate to complex matters when required.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver assigned end-to-end Corporate Actions activities across North products with limited day-to-day direction.
- Apply broad Corporate Actions knowledge to support day-to-day operational decisions and customer outcomes.
- Support process design, testing and implementation within agreed frameworks and governance requirements.
- Undertake UAT testing and business readiness activities for assigned workstreams, escalating moderate to complex issues as required.
- Maintain controls, governance and operational procedures for assigned deliverables, while recommending improvements to existing processes.
- Share technical knowledge and provide day-to-day support to junior team members within your operational area.
- Represent Investment Operations in project and governance forums for assigned workstreams, working with senior colleagues on complex matters.
What you will bring to the team
Ideally, you will bring the following experience to this role:
- Previous experience in Corporate Actions or Investment Operations within a custody or platform environment.
- An understanding of Corporate Actions lifecycle processing and related operational requirements.
- Experience working with custodians and processing instructions, with the judgement to seek guidance on more complex matters.
- The ability to support process improvement and enhancements to operational controls.
- Experience supporting technology, testing, system implementation programs or operational change.
- Intermediate Excel skills, with SQL highly regarded.
- A good understanding of tax implications relevant to Corporate Actions processing.
- Exposure to International and Fixed Income securities will be highly regarded
- Awareness of regulatory and compliance requirements relevant to financial services operations.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications, or a willingness to undertake studies in finance or commerce, will be highly regarded.
You’ll thrive here if…
You’re someone who enjoys working in a dynamic operational environment, can move between BAU delivery and change activity, and brings strong attention to detail to everything you do.
You’ll enjoy this role if you can build strong relationships, communicate clearly, collaborate with others to deliver service standards, and use critical thinking to solve routine and varied operational issues.
Because we run lean, you’ll be expected to jump in and contribute across a range of priorities. That means you’ll be closer to the action, with the opportunity to support meaningful improvements, build technical capability and contribute to transformation within your operational area.
