Opal Fibre Packaging Australia provides a full service offering in corrugated cardboard box packaging from design and product testing through to supply chain integration. We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable and safety conscious Semi-Truck Driver / Transport Driver to join the team on Dayshift (6am – 3pm) at our depot in Mildura (Irymple).
The key focus of this role will be to:

Completing local deliveries and pickups safely and on time
-
Operating company trucks in accordance with road transport regulations
-
Conducting pre-start vehicle inspections and reporting any defects
-
Ensuring loads are secured and compliant with Chain of Responsibility requirements
-
Operating forklifts to load, unload and move stock
-
Assisting with general warehouse and depot operations
-
Supporting inventory and stock movements
-
Maintaining a clean, organised and safe workplace
-
Providing professional customer service during deliveries
-
Have availability to do overtime

The successful candidate for this role will possess:
-
A current valid Heavy Combination (HC) Truck Licence
-
Current LF Forklift Licence
-
Previous truck driving and forklift operating experience & clean driving record
-
Experience in transport, logistics or warehouse operations (preferred)
-
Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) requirements (would be highly regarded)
-
A strong commitment to safety
-
Excellent time management skills
-
Good communication and customer service skills
-
Attention to detail
-
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
