About the Role
The Little Olive is seeking an experienced Chef to join our kitchen team on a full- time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting high-quality meals, managing kitchen operations, and maintaining food safety and hygiene standards in line with Australian regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and prepare menus in consultation with management
- Cook and present food to a consistently high standard
- Order and manage stock, ingredients, and kitchen supplies
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen in line with food safety regulations
- Monitor food quality and consistency
Skills and Experience Required
- Relevant trade qualification in commercial cookery (e.g. Certificate III/IV) or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated experience working as a Chef or in a senior kitchen role
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, menu planning, and kitchen management
- Sound understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong communication and team leadership skills
Salary
- $79,499 per annum plus superannuation
