About us:
Rockhampton Hospital is a 305 bed facility and is the main referral hospital for Central Queensland, now providing integrated cancer care services in Central Queensland in the newly established building boasting state of the art medical equipment.
Rockhampton Hospital has recently gained accreditation for training in emergency medicine as well as being accredited for training in general surgery, anaesthetics, intensive care, general medicine, paediatrics, obstetrics and gynaecology and psychiatry.
About the role:
Provide efficient, high-quality administrative support across multiple positions within the Rockhampton Hospital Administrative Support and Development Unit, ensuring continuity of service.
Use sound judgment to prioritise workload, maintain accuracy, and deliver responsible, reliable work both independently and within a team setting.
Utilise hospital information systems effectively, ensuring data is accurate, timely, complete, and supports clinical and management decision-making.
Support medical and nursing staff through a range of administrative tasks, including reception duties, documentation, filing, audits, and patient record management.
About you:
Ability to safely perform physical duties of the role, including lifting, bending, squatting, ladder use, and transporting files/charts using trolleys as required.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to use initiative and sound judgement in situations where procedures or precedents are not clearly defined.
Proficiency in computer systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-focused administrative support.
Well-developed administrative and organisational skills to support clinical and non-clinical teams in a busy hospital environment.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $100,585 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $39.98 - $44.46 p.h.
12.75% employer superannuation contribution
