XS Espresso is a fast-growing, community-driven hospitality brand known for delivering exceptional customer experiences, high-quality products, and vibrant café environments. We are looking for 2 passionate and hands-on Café Supervisors to lead the team for an opening of our new store in Melonba. Opening is scheduled for Mid June, however for the sucessful candidates, they can start earlier.
About the Role
As a Café Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the store. You’ll lead by example on the floor, drive team performance, and ensure every customer has an outstanding experience. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day operations of the café with a hands-on approach
- Supervise, support, and motivate team members during service
- Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve issues efficiently
- Assist with staff training, onboarding, and development
- Manage opening and closing procedures, including cash handling
- Ensure food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards are upheld
- Monitor stock levels, place orders, and manage inventory
- Support rostering and labour cost control
- Maintain store presentation and cleanliness at all times
About You
- Previous experience in a café or hospitality supervisory role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a team
- Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-focused mindset
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stay calm under pressure
- Flexible availability, including weekends and public holidays
