About the Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you'll be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and optimising electrical, control and automation systems across the site to ensure equipment reliability, safety and performance. You'll work closely with Production, Engineering and Maintenance teams to reduce downtime, improve equipment effectiveness and support automation and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve faults across PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, VSDs and control equipment.
- Maintain and improve electrical and automation systems across the site.
- Support equipment installation, commissioning and automation projects.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency.
- Participate in root cause investigations and implement long-term solutions.
- Maintain electrical drawings, software backups and technical documentation.
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Provide technical support and coaching to operators and maintenance team members.
About You
You are a hands-on technical professional who enjoys solving complex problems and continuously looking for better ways of working.
To be successful in this role, you'll have:
- A current Electrical Licence.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, FMCG or industrial environment.
- Strong PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Experience with industrial automation and control systems.
- Strong fault-finding and root cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Highly Regarded
- Automation, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or Control Systems qualifications.
- Experience with Siemens, Allen Bradley, B&R, Beckhoff, Pilz or similar PLC platforms.
- Experience delivering automation, reliability or capital improvement projects.
- Experience within food, beverage or highly regulated manufacturing environments.
