An experienced psychiatrist-led private specialist practice in a GP practice in Clayton, Victoria is seeking Consultant Psychiatrists to join our growing face-to-face team. We warmly welcome both experienced consultants and newly qualified psychiatrists — junior colleagues will receive dedicated supervision, mentoring, and full clinical support as they build their practice.
Our experienced psychiatrist-led service delivers comprehensive diagnostic assessments and rich post-diagnostic support for adults and families. You will be part of a collaborative, values-driven team committed to care beyond diagnosis — including therapy recommendations, educational planning, behavioural interventions, evidence-based treatment pathways, and practical strategies for families navigating life after diagnosis.

The Role
This is a face-to-face position based at our Clayton rooms, providing specialist psychiatric services across a broad range of presentations. You will conduct comprehensive adult psychiatric assessments and ongoing management, with a particular focus on neurodiversity — including ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and co-occurring conditions. The role attracts MBS Items 291, 296, and ongoing management items.
Key Clinical Focus Areas
· Comprehensive adult psychiatric assessments and post-diagnostic support
· Neurodiversity — ADHD, ASD, and co-occurring presentations
· General psychiatry including mood disorders, anxiety, and disordered eating
· Therapy recommendations, psychoeducation, and behavioural intervention planning
· Family consultations and educational/treatment planning post-diagnosis
About You

Requirements
· Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP)
· Current AHPRA registration as a Specialist Psychiatrist — no conditions or restrictions on practice
· Availability for face-to-face consultations at Clayton, Victoria
· Commitment to managing a broad range of presentations across General Psychiatry, ADHD, and ASD
· Newly qualified psychiatrists welcome — structured supervision and mentoring provided
Right to work in Australia is required. Applicants will be asked to confirm AHPRA registration status.
Remuneration
Private Billing — remuneration is percentage-based, your earning potential grows directly with your availability and clinical load — there is no ceiling.Majority of billings retained by the Psychiatrist
