Craigslea State High School provides a caring, safe and disciplined learning environment for Years 7 to 12. Founded in 1975, Craigslea State High School is an independent public school located on approximately 10 hectares. Currently 1000 students enjoy extensive, well maintained facilities as well as the benefits of outdoor sport and recreation in native bushland. Your opportunity:
Refer at risk students to appropriate agencies and support services that will assist students to overcome barriers to education and training.
Provide individual support, case management and, where appropriate, group support to students to maximise their engagement with education and training.
Responsibilities:
Identify barriers affecting student engagement and achievement and provide appropriate referrals.
Support students to achieve positive learning outcomes and remain engaged in education.
Monitor attendance patterns and implement early intervention strategies.
Build strong relationships with students, families, school staff and community services.
Provide family and home-based support where appropriate.
Develop and monitor individualised support and post-program strategies.
Develop programs that promote social and emotional wellbeing, including resilience, self-esteem and social skills.
Maintain accurate student contact and support records.
Provide information and guidance to students, families and the wider community on issues affecting engagement.
