Casual Disability Support Worker
(Weekends & Passive Overnight Shifts)
Mayflower Supports is a growing NDIS provider committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports across Adelaide. We are currently seeking experienced Female Disability Support Workers to join our team on a casual basis to support participants with complex care needs in Southern Adelaide (Christie Downs).
About the Role
We have casual opportunities available for:
Weekend Support Workers
Passive Overnight Support Workers (5:00 PM to 6:00 AM)
This role involves supporting participants living in a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home with complex health needs, including palliative care. You will work independently while providing compassionate, professional, and person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
* Personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
* Medication administration and medication management
* Supporting participants with complex health needs
* Meal preparation and household duties
* Community access and appointments (where required)
* Accurate documentation, progress notes and incident reporting
* Building positive relationships with participants, families and allied health professionals
* Supporting participants in line with their individual goals and support plans
Essential Requirements
*Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability), Certificate III in Disability, or equivalent
* Current Medication Administration competency and experience administering medications
* Previous experience providing personal care
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current National Police Check
* Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
* Current Manual Handling training
* Current Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle
* Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Professional, compassionate and reliable attitude
Highly Desirable
* Experience working in Supported Independent Living (SIL)
* Experience supporting participants with complex physical or medical needs
* Knowledge of person-centred and trauma-informed practice
