About the Role
As a Support Worker, you will provide one-on-one support to NDIS participants within their homes and communities. Every participant is different, which means no two days are the same.
You may be supporting participants to:
- Attend appointments
- Access their local community
- Participate in social and recreational activities
- Build daily living skills
- Develop confidence and independence
- Attend work, education or volunteering opportunities
- Complete personal care tasks
- Maintain their home environment
- Work towards their individual NDIS goals
We support people from a wide range of backgrounds and disabilities, including physical disabilities, psychosocial disabilities, intellectual disabilities, autism and complex support needs.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for people who are:
- Kind, respectful and patient
- Reliable and professional
- Passionate about supporting people with disability
- Strong communicators
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and adaptable to participant needs
Experience within the disability, aged care, community services, mental health or allied health sectors is highly regarded, however we also welcome applications from people with the right attitude and willingness to learn.
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence + Vehicle
- Reliable and insured vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- National Police Check
- Right to work in Australia
