Lead the Opening of a Brand-New Early Learning Service
Eden Academy is seeking an experienced and inspiring Centre Manager to lead our brand-new service located at
Xavier College Two Wells, opening in partnership with the school community.
This is a unique opportunity to establish a service from the ground up, creating a welcoming and high-quality environment for up to 141 children while building strong relationships with families, Xavier College, and the broader community.
Operating from 6:30am to 6:30pm, the service will feature natural play spaces, open-plan learning environments filled with natural light, and thoughtfully designed indoor and outdoor learning areas that support children's curiosity, wellbeing and development.
As a key leader in this exciting opening, you will play an integral role in licensing, service approval, team establishment, community engagement and operational readiness before welcoming children and families into the service.
About the Role
You will lead all aspects of the centre's pre-opening journey and ongoing operations. Working closely with Eden Academy and the leadership team at Xavier College, you will establish strong community connections and ensure the service reflects both Eden Academy's values and the Catholic identity of the school community.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading licensing and service approval requirements.
- Building strong relationships with the Xavier College leadership team, families and local community.
- Recruiting, mentoring and developing a high-performing team.
- Creating a positive and inclusive culture for children, families and educators.
- Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework, National Law and Regulations.
- Supporting the implementation of policies, procedures and child-safe practices.
- Collaborating with school leadership to maintain strong communication and partnership outcomes.
- Supporting the integration of Catholic values and traditions within the service environment.
Please note that if there is any period between fit-out completion and service approval, the successful candidate may be required to work within another Eden Academy service to support operational needs and gain further exposure to our systems and processes.
About You

What You'll Bring
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-approved equivalent).
- Ideally 2+ years’ Centre Managers experience in a ECEC setting.
- Comfortable supporting and participating in the Catholic identity of the service, including prayer, faith-based celebrations and community events, while embracing the values of the Xavier College community.
- Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current Child Protection Certificate.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- A warm, approachable and professional leadership style.
- Two professional references, including one from a manager or supervisor within an early childhood or education setting.
