Apprentice Electrician (2nd, 3rd & 4th Year)
Urban Charge Electrical is seeking motivated and reliable 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Year Apprentice Electricians to join our growing team.
We specialise in commercial electrical projects across Melbourne, including schools, warehouses, retail fit-outs, healthcare facilities, industrial developments, communications, CCTV, security, and access control systems.
This is an excellent opportunity to further your electrical career while working alongside experienced electricians on a diverse range of projects.
About the Role
As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist our qualified electricians with the installation, maintenance, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems while continuing to develop your skills and industry knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of electrical systems, including power, lighting, communications, CCTV, and security systems.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and plans.
- Follow all relevant Australian Standards, electrical regulations, and workplace safety requirements.
- Assist with fault finding, repairs, and maintenance works.
- Perform testing and commissioning activities under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Care for and maintain tools, equipment, and company assets.
- Work effectively as part of a team and contribute to project outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Currently undertaking a Certificate III in Electrotechnology (2nd, 3rd, or 4th Year Apprentice).
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to read electrical plans is highly regarded.
- Own basic hand tools and battery tools.
- Current Victorian Manual Driver's Licence.
- White Card.
- EWP, Working at Heights, and First Aid tickets are advantageous but not essential.
