About the Role
The Benalla, Wangaratta and Mansfield Local is partnering with Gateway Health to extend their mental health and wellbeing support into the Towong Shire, a community significantly impacted by bushfire.
This exciting part-time opportunity (0.7EFT/53.2 hours per fortnight until 30/06/2027) based in Tallangatta, will see you provide evidence based clinical interventions for participants, alongside lived experience peers. You will play a vital role in ensuring participants, carers, and their families receive valuable, supportive evidence based, biopsychosocial and therapeutic mental health care.
This role is classified under the Victorian Community Health Sector Audiologists Dietitians Pharmacists and Psychologists Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026, Grade 1 ($46.42 - 48.75 / hour + superannuation).
Skills & Experience
To thrive in this role, you'll bring:
- Current provisional/general registration as a psychologist with the PsyBA of Australia
- Commitment to working under supervision in accordance with registration requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions
- Emerging skills in assessment, formulation and intervention planning
- Demonstrated time management abilities, excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate a friendly, proactive approach and ability to work with competing demands and balance priorities with efficiency and professionalism.
- Ability to work effectively independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
