About the Role
An exciting, immediate vacancy has arisen for a highly motivated Unaccredited Registrar to join our Vascular Surgery Unit.
This position offers an exception opportunity for an aspiring surgical trainee to gain comprehensive, hands-on clinical and operative experience under the direct mentorship of our experienced Vascular Surgeons.
You will provide day to day clinical management of patients under the care and direction of the Director of Vascular Services to ensure a high quality of patient care. You will undertake administrative duties for the Unit under the direction of the Director of Vascular Services and the Clinical Department Head to ensure that the Unit is run efficiently.
Other duties include:

Training in procedural work relevant to sub-specialty interest

Participation in-patient and out-patient activity relevant to sub-specialty interest

Participation in clinical meetings

Supervisory support of the interns and resident
Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12) pro rata for part-time.
What you will bring:

Classification of PGY4 or greater
-
Full working rights in Australia

Hold current AHPRA registration
-
MBBS or equivalent

Hold a current, or willing to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check

Have a commitment to deliver the best in patient care and safety

Demonstrated experience applying medical knowledge towards sound clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients

Demonstrated effective communication with patients, relatives, staff and colleagues
About the Vascular Department
The Department of Vascular Surgery manages the full spectrum of arterial and venous conditions, diabetic foot pathology and performs renal access and renal transplantation. Contemporary open, endovascular and hybrid techniques are utilised in our hybrid operating theatre. There is a weekly vascular surgery and diabetic foot outpatient clinic.
