Autoservice Pinto Repair PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team in Maidstone, Victoria. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic automotive service environment. As an Automotive Electrician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems in vehicles, ensuring that all work meets safety standards and exceeds customer expectations. This role is integral to our operations, allowing us to deliver high-quality electrical services to our valued clients.
Key responsibilities
- Using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions.
- Dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components.
- Installing electrical equipment and electronic components in motor vehicles.
- Connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply.
- Adjusting engine control systems and timing.
- Testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors.
- Repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring.
- Replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches.
Qualifications:
- Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent qualification.
- Air Conditioning Handling Licence (preferred but not essential).
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as an Automotive Electrician.
- Experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining automotive electrical and electronic systems.
- Experience working with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
Skills:
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Ability to repair and maintain vehicle electrical and electronic systems.
- Knowledge of wiring systems, batteries, charging systems, starters, lighting, and electronic control systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic equipment and technical manuals.
- Basic knowledge of Roadworthy Certificate (RWC) inspection requirements and vehicle safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
