About the Role
We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and caring individual to support a person with complex needs, including Prader-Willi Syndrome and type 2 Diabetes. This person likes to take part in Muay Thai, also known as Thai Boxing and have a strong love for animals, in particular their dog.
Through years of hard work and progression, they have earned an impressive collection of Muay Thai belts, each one symbolising their strength, focus, and discipline. They have built an awe-inspiring Lego collection that’s proudly displayed in their home. This person lives in their own unit attached to the family home with support from their team. They have a good sense of humour and are creative. They require support throughout the day, at home and in the community.
This is a hands-on role where you will provide person-centred support tailored to their individual needs and goals.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate support at home and in the community.
- Follow Positive Behaviour Support Plans and daily routines.
- Support with personal care, communication, domestic duties and daily living skills.
- Engage in fun, meaningful activities that build confidence and independence.
- Provide calm and professional responses to challenging behaviours when needed.

Essential Skills & Attributes:
- Experience working with people with Prader-Willi Syndrome
- Experience with Diabetes Management

- Professional and calm approach in challenging situations.

What You’ll Need Before Starting:
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to apply).
- Valid Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Completion (or willingness to complete) NDIS orientation modules.
- Willingness to undertake Diabetes training
- Experience with behaviour management and pathological demand avoidance disorder.
Pay Rate: $37.95 - $$90.12 per hour (casual)
