Job Title: Disability Support Worker – Employment & Community Access

Overview:
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers to join our team and assist individuals with disabilities in:
- Employment supports
- Community access
- Capacity building programs
- Independent living skills
- Group-based activities
- In-home supports (where required)
This is a flexible role suited to workers who are open to working across multiple programs to maintain consistent hours.
We are looking for professionals who understand that meaningful support goes beyond transport and supervision — it is about building confidence, independence, and long-term capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support participants to access employment, training and work experience opportunities
- Assist with resume building, interview preparation and workplace readiness
- Facilitate community access and social participation
- Support development of daily living skills (budgeting, cooking, travel training)
- Provide in-home and community-based supports as required
- Maintain accurate, compliant case notes
- Work collaboratively with families, coordinators and allied health professionals
- Follow behaviour support plans where applicable
- Promote participant choice and control at all times

Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 1 Year experience in Disability or Community Service in a similar role is highly preferred.
- Certificate III or IV in: Individual Support (Disability), Community Services, Youth Work or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a genuine passion for working with people with disabilities.
- Ability to provide personal care and assist with mobility and other daily tasks.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable car (for travel between locations).
- Comprehensive Car Insurance
- Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- First Aid certification (or willingness to complete training).
- Government-issued ID for verification purposes.
- NDIS Worker Check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Work With Children Check
- ABN (or willingness to obtain one).
- A positive, patient, and caring attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
