Ozcare has casual opportunities available for experienced and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team at our beautiful Currimundi Aged Care Facility.
As a valued member of our Residential Aged Care team, you will play an important role in supporting residents to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life through the delivery of person-centred care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Your Role
As a Care Assistant, you will provide high-quality care and support to residents while working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary care team. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing individualised care and support in accordance with residents' care plans
Assisting residents with personal care activities, including showering, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support
Supporting residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and wellbeing
Assisting with medication administration in line with organisational policies and procedures
Observing, reporting and documenting changes in residents' health and wellbeing
Maintaining accurate records and completing required clinical and funding documentation
Contributing to a safe, clean and comfortable living environment for residents
Working collaboratively with colleagues, residents, families and allied health professionals to deliver holistic care

Role Requirements
Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing / Disability) or equivalent qualification
Current National Police Check (valid within the past 3 years)
Current First Aid and CPR Certificates
Current Influenza vaccination and at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccination
Demonstrated experience assisting with personal care and medication support
Good computer literacy and confidence using mobile devices for care documentation
Physical capacity to undertake the demands of residential aged care, including mobility assistance and manual handling tasks
Availability to work afternoon and overnight shifts (highly desirable)
