Blackbook AI is a data and AI consultancy working with enterprise clients across Australia and North America. We're a Databricks, Microsoft, AWS and UiPath partner, and our delivery work spans data platform builds, AI and agentic solutions, and intelligent automation.
We're expanding our Sydney delivery capability and looking for experienced Business Analysts who can run discovery with a client one day and work alongside data engineers the next.
What you'll do
- Run discovery sessions and requirements workshops with stakeholders from analyst through to executive level
- Translate business processes and pain points into clear, testable requirements
- Perform data-focused analysis: source system mapping, data quality assessment, defining metrics and reporting requirements
- Document solutions in a way engineering teams can actually build from
- Support UAT, change management and client adoption
- Work embedded in multi-disciplinary teams alongside data engineers, platform architects and automation developers
What we're looking for
- 4+ years as a Business Analyst on technology projects
- Experience on data, analytics, AI or automation initiatives (Databricks, Azure, AWS, Power BI, UiPath or similar)
- Strong stakeholder facilitation skills, comfortable leading a workshop without a script
- Ability to work independently on client site with minimal oversight
- Australian work rights
Nice to have
- Prior consulting or professional services experience
- Exposure to knowledge graphs, semantic modelling or AI/LLM delivery
- Process improvement or automation background
