Senior Chef / Cook

Coppersmith Hotel is looking for an experienced Senior Chef / Cook to join our kitchen team.
We're a gastro pub and boutique hotel hospitality venue in South Melbourne, known for quality food, great service, and a welcoming local atmosphere. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading a team, running a smooth service, and delivering consistently great food.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading kitchen service and daily operations
- Food preparation, cooking, and plating
- Managing prep, stock control, and ordering
- Maintaining food safety and hygiene standards
- Training and supporting junior team members
- Contributing to menu development and specials
What we're looking for:
- Previous experience as a Senior Cook, Chef, or similar role
- Strong all-round cooking skills across lunch and dinner service
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP requirements
- Ability to lead a team in a busy kitchen environment
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Passion for hospitality and quality food
