II. Job Responsibilities
As a High School English Tutor, you will:
- Tutor students from Years 7–12 in the NSW English curriculum.
- Deliver engaging one-on-one and small group lessons.
- Explain English concepts clearly and effectively.
- Help students prepare for assessments, examinations, and the HSC.
- Develop students' reading, writing, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Adapt lessons to students' learning needs and academic goals.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate lesson records.
- Collaborate with team members to improve student outcomes.
III. Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of the NSW English curriculum for Years 7–12.
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience with high school students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, reliable, and professional.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Availability on weekday afternoons/evenings and/or Saturdays.
IV. Preferred Skills
- High Band 5 or Band 6 in HSC Advanced English.
- Experience tutoring Stage 4–6 English.
- Experience preparing students for school assessments and HSC examinations.
- Ability to adapt teaching to different learning styles.
