Due to continued business growth, K8 Building Tech Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated full-time Procurement Specialist to enhance procurement effectiveness across the business. The role will provide strategic advice to management on sourcing strategies, supplier performance, procurement processes, inventory optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives. This position is based at our head office in Port Melbourne, Victoria.
Base salary: $79,423 (plus super)
Main tasks include:
· Analyse procurement requirements, demand forecasts and inventory information to develop sourcing strategies and purchasing plans that support business objectives.
· Source, assess and recommend suppliers by evaluating pricing, product quality, lead times, service capability and overall commercial value.
· Manage supplier relationships and support commercial negotiations relating to pricing, supply arrangements and procurement terms.
· Monitor supplier performance, procurement expenditure and purchasing trends to identify cost-saving opportunities, manage supply risks and improve procurement outcomes.
· Prepare procurement reports and provide insights and recommendations to management regarding procurement performance, supplier management and inventory optimisation.
· Develop, implement and maintain procurement policies, procedures, documentation and governance frameworks to support consistent and compliant procurement practices.
· Support the optimisation and ongoing use of MYOB Acumatica ERP to improve procurement processes, inventory visibility and business reporting capabilities.
· Analyse procurement processes and performance indicators to identify improvement opportunities, enhance efficiency and strengthen supply chain outcomes.
· Work collaboratively with sales, warehouse and management teams to align procurement strategies with customer demand, inventory requirements and operational priorities.
· Support contract administration activities by maintaining supplier agreements, commercial documentation and procurement records.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Operations Management or a related discipline.
· Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management or commercial procurement.
· Experience within construction materials, building products, manufacturing or wholesale distribution industries is highly regarded.
Ideal Skills and Attributes:
· Knowledge of ERP systems such as MYOB Acumatica, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics 365.
· Strong analytical and commercial acumen.
· Contract administration and negotiation skills.
· Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and organisational skills.
