Position: Kitchen Hand
Required Availability:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.
The Role:
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to support the daily production of our cakes. This role combines hands-on cake preparation with cleaning, dishwashing and general kitchen support.
You will work alongside our bakers to help keep production running smoothly and ensure our kitchen remains clean, organised and ready for each stage of the cake-making process. Commercial kitchen experience is preferred, although training will be provided.
Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with the preparation and production of honey cakes
- Measuring and preparing ingredients
- Supporting the team with dough, cream and cake preparation
- Preparing equipment, trays and workstations for production
- Washing dishes, utensils, mixing bowls and kitchen equipment
- Cleaning and sanitising benches, floors and production areas
- Restocking ingredients, packaging and kitchen supplies
- Following food safety, hygiene and workplace procedures
- Completing other general kitchen and production duties as required
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Reliable, punctual and available for the required days and hours
- Comfortable working in a busy production kitchen
- Able to follow instructions and complete repetitive tasks accurately
- Efficient, organised and attentive to detail
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen equipment or ingredients
- A positive team member with a willingness to learn
- Able to communicate in English
