About the Role
Smart Start Preschool in Chester Hill is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childcare Educator to join our team on a full-time basis.
We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who is committed to providing high-quality care, education and learning experiences for young children. The successful candidate will play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing and engaging environment where every child feels supported, valued and encouraged to learn and grow.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent recognised qualification.• Have a minimum of 1 year's experience working in an early childhood education setting.• Have a genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development.• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.• Be able to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues.• Have a sound understanding of children's developmental needs and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).• Be reliable, professional, enthusiastic and committed to providing quality early childhood education and care.• Be able to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
As an Early Childcare Educator, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care, supervision and education to children in accordance with their individual needs.• Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational experiences and activities.• Supporting children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development.• Creating a safe, inclusive, stimulating and welcoming learning environment.• Developing positive and respectful relationships with children and their families.• Observing children's development and contributing to learning documentation and programs.• Working collaboratively with other educators and the wider preschool team.• Maintaining a high standard of health, safety, hygiene and supervision at all times.• Supporting the implementation of the centre's policies, procedures and educational programs.• Communicating effectively with families regarding children's experiences, development and wellbeing.• Contributing to a positive team culture and the continuous improvement of the preschool.
