The CCC is looking for an experienced, accountable and driven strategic leader with a passion for integrity, high-performance culture and quality investigations to lead our Serious Misconduct Investigations function.
This is a fixed-term five-year contract with the possibility of a further contract and/or extension. Suitable applicants may be considered for other similar vacancies within the next 12 months.
THE WORKING ENVIRONMENT
The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to strengthen the integrity of the public sector, reduce corruption and disrupt criminal activity for the benefit of our community.
With access to the full range of operational capabilities, the Investigations Directorate coordinates and manages the Commission's investigative activities. The Directorate responds to reporting of, and acts to proactively identify, suspected serious misconduct within the WA public sector and WA Police. The Directorate is also responsible for leading investigations into unexplained wealth and criminal benefits across the broader WA public. The focus of the Commission's investigative activity is systemic and complex matters, which may require the use of specialist capabilities
THE OPPORTUNITY
Assistant Director Serious Misconduct Investigations provides strategic leadership to staff driving the Commission's function to deliver investigations into allegations of serious misconduct within the Western Australia Public Sector, including the Western Australia Police. Assistant Director Serious Misconduct Investigations works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to identify and achieve objectives of Commission investigations through the alignment of their team’s effort with investigative and operational priorities, and effective risk and resource management.
The Commission requires applicants to be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for citizenship, and employment is conditional on you possessing and maintaining a national security classification of LEVEL 1 – NEGATIVE VETTING or higher.
