Job Overview:
We're seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Cafe All-Rounder to join our team on a part-time permanent basis or casual . This position offers steady hours (20 to 40 per week) and the chance to be part of a friendly, fast-paced café environment. You’ll work across customer service, coffee-making, food prep, and general cleaning—ideal for someone who’s flexible, proactive, and passionate about hospitality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and serve customers with a warm, professional attitude
- Take dine-in and takeaway orders efficiently
- Make quality coffee and beverages (barista experience preferred)
- Assist with preparing and plating simple food items (e.g., sandwiches, pastries, salads)
- Operate the POS system and handle payments
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across the café, including clearing tables, dishwashing, and restocking
- Follow all food safety and OH&S procedures
- Assist with opening/closing duties when required
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth daily operations
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a café or hospitality role (preferred but not essential)
- Barista skills (or willingness to learn on the job)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and team spirit
- Able to multitask and work calmly under pressure
- Flexible availability, especially on weekends and peak periods
- Commitment to a consistent part-time schedule (20 to 40 hours/week)
