Responsibilities and Duties
As a Skilled Meat Worker at Tibaldi you will be part of the Fresh Meats team based in Clayton, Victoria and will be involved in:
· Using equipment to move carcasses and meat to boning and cutting tables
· Trim, wash, and clean meat, removing blood, fat, and unwanted material
· Cut carcasses into standard meat cuts like rumps, shoulders, and flanks
· Remove internal fat, blood clots, bruises, and other waste materials
· Operate restrainers and stunning equipment safely
· Remove heads and head meat where required
· Perform evisceration and trimming of carcasses
As part of our Fresh Meats team, you will have:
· AQF Certificate III in Meat Processing
· Skilled in the humane and efficient slaughter of livestock.
· Follows strict safety procedures and demonstrates clear, effective communication skills.
· Previous experience for a minimum of 2 years in a meat processing environment
· The knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
· An understanding of humane animal handling
· The ability to follow detailed procedures and demonstrates clear, effective communication skills.
