About the role
We are a Bassendean-based cold storage and logistics business seeking a hands-on ICT Support Technician to keep our IT systems and equipment running reliably across the business. Our operation runs on technology — warehouse management systems, temperature monitoring, scanning and networked equipment — so you'll be the go-to person for day-to-day technical support across our office, warehouse and transport functions, maintaining the hardware, network and systems we depend on.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-level IT support; log, track and resolve hardware, software and connectivity issues
- Determine hardware and software requirements and recommend solutions to operational problems
- Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, handheld scanners, label printers and peripheral equipment
- Install, update and manage software, licensing, security patching and antivirus
- Adapt and configure existing applications and software to meet users' requirements
- Support the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and temperature-monitoring/data-logging systems
- Maintain network infrastructure (LAN/Wi-Fi across office, warehouse and cold-store areas), servers and user accounts
- Repair and replace peripheral equipment such as terminals, printers and modems
- Maintain and support CCTV, access-control and telephony systems
- Maintain backups, basic cyber-security and the IT asset register; assist with the company website/intranet
- Liaise with external IT and telecommunications vendors
About you
- A Diploma or Associate Degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field — or at least 3 years' relevant experience and/or relevant vendor certification
- Demonstrated experience providing IT/help-desk support in a business environment
- Sound knowledge of Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory and networking fundamentals
- Experience supporting hardware, peripherals and handheld/mobile devices
- Experience with network support and monitoring, backups and basic cyber-security
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused approach
- Able to work on-site and move between office, warehouse and refrigerated cold-store areas
- Current Australian driver's licence and full working rights in Australia
