The Legislation Reform team is looking for a motivated and conscientious individual with skills and experience in making changes to a range of ACT Government legislation.
You will be a strategic thinker, hold expertise in legislative and policy development, have excellent research, analytical and written skills, and have a desire to build and maintain quality relationships with a range of stakeholders. To be successful in this role you must be able to work cooperatively with others as well as being self-driven.

Tertiary qualifications in law, or experience in the development of legislation and Cabinet papers.
Notes: This is a temporary position available from 17 September 2026 for a period of 11 months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only.
The position involves hybrid work arrangements between 220 London Circuit and remote. Individual work arrangements can be negotiated with the Director and Executive Branch Manager aligned with team need.
