What you'll do
As the Systems Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and system support for the Surgery Connect program by accurately inputting, updating and retrieving data within the Surgery Connect database. You will maintain a strong understanding of relevant systems, processes and policies, action user access requests, and provide support to system administrators. Working collaboratively with customers and providers, you will build positive relationships, identify customer needs, and deliver responsive services aligned with policy requirements. You will contribute to continuous improvement by challenging existing administrative practices and implementing innovative business process enhancements. In addition, you will manage and escalate complaints as required, provide solutions that achieve positive outcomes, prioritise and coordinate administrative activities to support the program's strategic objectives, and undertake other duties as directed.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of medical terminology used to deliver patient-centred activities would be highly regarded.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with database utilisation and patient management systems.
Experience, skills and knowledge of departmental financial and administrative processes, with a proven ability to actively participate in business improvement initiatives that deliver more efficient work practices.
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a range of activities and projects with conflicting timeframes.
Provide general administrative support functions across the team that contributes to organisational goals and objectives.
