We have a very exciting opportunity for a couple of undergraduate students to join our Deals & Advisory team on a casual basis, getting hands on experience with real world corporate and international tax issues & advice!
About the role:
As an undergraduate tax consultant, you will:
- Support senior team members on tax advisory engagements, including structuring, tax planning, CGT, international tax, GST/FBT and private group issues
- Assist with preparing and reviewing compliance deliverables: individual and business tax returns, BAS/IAS and associated ATO lodgements
- Research tax law and ATO guidance, and help draft clear client-ready advice and technical papers
- Contribute to projects such as restructures, transactions and ATO reviews/private rulings
What we are looking for:
- Currently studying a degree in accounting, law, or a related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal
- An interest in tax law or specialist taxation
- Organisation, enthusiasm, and a desire for continuous learning and development
