Emmanuel College is seeking engaging and passionate Senior School Maths Teachers to join our Secondary School teaching team. We currently have multiple opportunities available across both permanent and fixed-term contract positions, commencing from Term 4, 2026 and Term 1, 2027.
These roles are centred on Secondary Mathematics, with complementary teaching areas including Science and Health & Physical Education (HPE). We welcome applications from experienced teachers as well as enthusiastic educators who are passionate about Mathematics and can contribute across one or more of these complementary subject areas.

About the Roles
These are exciting opportunities for secondary educators who are passionate about helping students develop confidence, capability and a positive relationship with Mathematics.
As a Maths Teacher at Emmanuel College, you will plan and deliver engaging, purposeful learning experiences that support students to develop strong mathematical knowledge, problem-solving skills and confidence as learners.
Depending on your teaching experience and subject areas, your role may also include teaching Science or HPE.
We are particularly interested in teachers who can meet students where they are, differentiate effectively and build positive relationships with young people. For our permanent Maths and Science opportunities, an interest in working with students who may require additional academic support would be highly valued.
You will work as part of a collaborative teaching team committed to high-quality learning, student wellbeing and continuous improvement, while contributing positively to the broader life of the College.
About You
We are looking for teachers who bring enthusiasm, care and a genuine passion for helping young people grow.
To be successful, you will have:
- Current Queensland College of Teachers registration;
- Qualifications and experience relevant to teaching Secondary Mathematics, Science or HPE;
- Strong teaching, communication, interpersonal and classroom management skills;
- The ability to design engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences for students with diverse abilities and learning needs;
- A commitment to differentiation and supporting students to experience success;
- A collaborative, flexible and student-centred approach;
- A commitment to supporting student wellbeing and building positive relationships;
- An understanding of Christian education and a commitment to incorporating Christian values authentically into College life.
