About the role and team
We have an opportunity for a Legal Assistant to join our growing General Insurance section based in our Sydney office.
This role provides administrative support to a team of Partners and fee earners in the General Insurance (Property Damage) team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and experienced Legal Assistant to join a friendly and fast paced team.
You will be responsible for:
- matter openings;
- managing client file maintenance for the team;
- coordinating incoming and outgoing correspondence;
- drafting of documentation as required;
- preparation of monthly billing;
- court filings;
- diary management; and
- other ad-hoc administration duties as required.
About you
You will ideally have the following skills and experience:
- a minimum of two years of legal assistant experience within a law practice;
- experience supporting insurance litigation or general commercial litigation lawyers is desired but not essential;
- strong organisational skills;
- a team player;
- excellent communication skills;
- experience in using client management program/s (Aderant would be desirable but is not required); and
- experience in using document management system/s (iManage10 would be desirable but is not required).
