If you spot the little things before they become big problems. Great. That's exactly who we're looking for.
If you're the type of person who can't walk past a quality issue without wanting to fix it, we should talk. This is a behind the scenes role that makes a real difference out front.
As our Quality Assurance Officer, you'll help protect the trust our customers place in Harris Farm Markets (HFM) every time they pick up one of our products. Working across our production network, you'll partner with buying teams, warehouse leaders, suppliers and regulators to make sure every (HFM) branded product meets the highest standards for safety, quality and compliance.
You'll lead audits, testing programs, supplier relationships and continuous improvement initiatives that keep us one step ahead. You'll spend your time solving problems, building capability and making sure quality is built into everything we do.
How you will make a difference
- Ensure every HFM branded product meets food safety, labelling and quality requirements.
- Partner with suppliers to maintain high standards and coordinate third party audits.
- Lead product recall and traceability programs, including annual mock recalls.
- Manage microbiological and shelf life testing programs across our production network.
- Review testing results, identify risks early and drive practical solutions.
- Coach buying teams and warehouse teams so everyone understands their role in Food Safety.
- Coordinate regulatory audits and build strong relationships with external authorities.
- Lead projects that continuously improve quality and food safety across the business.
What you will bring
We're looking for someone who genuinely cares about protecting food quality and customer trust. Including:
- Experience in Quality Assurance within food manufacturing, retail or a multi site production environment.
- A Food Science degree or equivalent qualification. (essential)
- Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, labelling requirements and regulatory compliance.
- Experience managing supplier quality and third party audits.
- The ability to translate technical requirements into practical advice that people understand and act on.
- A current driver's licence and the flexibility to travel across our production sites.
Most importantly, you'll be Hungry, Humble and Smart. You're proactive, curious, generous with your knowledge and always looking for ways to make things better.
Why Harris Farm?
We're not your typical Fresh Food Market. We're a family owned Australian business that's been backing growers, reducing food waste and doing things differently for more than 50 years.
You'll have the opportunity to influence quality across our production network, work alongside passionate people who genuinely care about doing things well and help protect a brand that customers trust every day.
This isn't a role where you'll simply maintain standards. It's a role where you'll help raise them.
