Our café is one of the busiest coffee venues in Canberra. We require an experienced barista who can step into service immediately with no barista training required.
Please do not apply if you:
- Have less than 1 year of experience in a high-volume café.
- Need training on operating a commercial coffee machine.
- Have not previously worked in a fast-paced coffee environment.
This role is not suitable for someone wanting to gain barista experience. We need someone who is already confident working independently and can keep up with a consistently high-volume coffee service.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparing and serving high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages
- Delivering fast, friendly, and professional customer service
- Maintaining cleanliness of the coffee machine, equipment, and work areas
- Following food safety regulations and café procedures
- Working efficiently under pressure during peak trading periods
Essential Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent experience as a barista in a very busy, high-volume café
- Ability to operate and maintain a commercial espresso machine independently
- Consistently produce quality coffee at speed during busy periods
- Confident milk texturing and latte art skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
- Current RSA certificate
