Conservatorium High School, the State’s only Specialist Music High School, is dedicated to fostering musical and academic excellence within a supportive environment that values integrity, respect, and compassion. It is important to note that the Careers Teacher Position at Conservatorium High School will also entail a classroom teaching load in HSIE, including Modern History and possibly History Extension.
Approval to Careers or currently enrolled in Careers qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education. Experience to teach Stage 6 Modern History (HIM), Junior 7-10 Mandatory History (HIS), and Stage 6 History Extension (HIE).
Demonstrated experience working in an HPGE, high-pressure environment, guiding young musicians to suitable educational pathways while managing their wellbeing and learning support needs.
Capacity and preparedness to work in a complex, multi-layered role across various portfolios in the school including Careers, HSIE, Learning Support, Wellbeing and Administration.
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

If applicable, engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Careers qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education which must be completed within 12 months.

Until the outcome of any such determination is confirmed, your salary offer will remain at Step 1 then be updated at a later date (typically a 1–2 week processing time post receipt of the form).
