About the role
The Senior Administration Officer provides high-level, confidential executive and administrative support within the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS). Based at Biala, Brisbane, the role supports the Operations Manager and Deputy Director in a broad secretarial, financial and office management capacity, while contributing to the effective operation of a statewide specialist mental health service.
The successful candidate will coordinate administrative resources, supervise administration staff and support a range of operational, governance and business functions. The role requires exceptional organisational skills, initiative, discretion and stakeholder engagement capabilities to ensure the smooth delivery of administrative services across a complex and dynamic healthcare environment.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
Provide high-level confidential executive, secretarial and administrative support, including diary management, meeting coordination, correspondence and records management.
Coordinate governance and committee administration processes, including preparing agendas, reports, minutes, action registers and related documentation.
Lead and supervise administrative staff while supporting workforce management, operational requirements and service priorities.
Develop, implement and maintain effective administrative systems, office procedures and information management practices to support service delivery.
Build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders while providing support across financial, human resource, workplace health and safety and operational functions.
