We’re looking for an organised and detail-focused Administration Officer – Workforce to join our team at Zion Aged Care.
This role is at the heart of workforce coordination, helping ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time to support safe, high-quality care for our residents. You’ll work closely with the Service Manager, Heads of Department, staff and Payroll to keep rosters accurate, compliant and running smoothly.

Remuneration: $31.46 ph + Super + Salary Packaging + Access to Staff Discounts & Benefits
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Develop and maintain accurate staff rosters to meet resident and operational needs
- Manage staff availability, leave, shift changes and coverage
- Monitor staffing levels and respond to absences and urgent workforce requirements
- Work with department leaders on current and future workforce planning
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities
- Ensure rosters align with legislation, award requirements and the Enterprise Agreement
- Prepare reports on overtime, staffing variances and labour costs
- Coordinate mandatory training, appraisals and development activities
- Monitor training completion and follow up outstanding requirements
- Be the first point of contact for staff regarding rosters, availability and shift changes
- Support the Service Manager with labour cost monitoring and workforce forecasting.
What You’ll Bring:
- Previous experience in rostering, workforce coordination or workforce planning
- Ideally, experience within aged care, healthcare or a similar environment
- Understanding of awards, workplace legislation and Enterprise Agreements
- Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail
- Confident communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage confidential information professionally
- Experience using rostering systems, ideally Humanforce
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
- A compassionate and supportive approach when working with staff and residents.
- A Certificate IV in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field will be highly regarded.
