Position Purpose/Summary
The Manager for Perishable Supply Chain Analysis is a senior analytical role within the Wiseway Supply Chain Division, responsible for leading the analysis, evaluation and optimisation of supply chain strategies, logistics networks and operational models for perishable and temperature-controlled products across domestic and international markets.
The position focuses on analysing end-to-end supply chain performance, cold chain infrastructure, transportation networks, inventory flows, operational risks and commercial feasibility to identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency, reducing logistics costs, minimising product spoilage and supporting sustainable business growth. The role also provides technical leadership for supply chain analysis activities and coordinates cross-functional supply chain improvement initiatives to ensure analytical outcomes are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Working closely with executive management and cross-functional teams, including operations, finance, sales, procurement, warehousing, customs and external logistics service providers, the position develops evidence-based recommendations, supports strategic decision-making and contributes to the continuous improvement of Wiseway Logistics' domestic and international perishable supply chain operations.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Tasks
· Analyse and evaluate end-to-end perishable supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory, warehousing, transportation and cold chain distribution, to identify opportunities for operational improvement and increased efficiency.
· Collect, interpret and analyse supply chain, logistics, inventory, sales and market data to support strategic planning, demand forecasting and evidence-based business decision-making.
· Develop analytical models, forecasting methodologies and performance measurement frameworks to improve supply chain efficiency, inventory optimisation and service delivery for temperature-controlled products.
· Assess the operational feasibility, cost-effectiveness and commercial viability of transportation routes, warehouse locations, cold storage facilities and distribution networks.
· Conduct supply chain risk assessments by identifying operational vulnerabilities, product integrity risks, supply disruptions and logistics constraints, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
· Analyse logistics expenditure, inventory turnover, freight costs, warehousing costs and resource utilisation to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality and product integrity.
· Prepare business cases, feasibility studies, analytical reports and strategic recommendations to support supply chain optimisation initiatives, business expansion and continuous improvement projects.
· Evaluate the performance and capability of freight providers, logistics partners, cold storage operators, suppliers and other service providers using operational and commercial performance data.
· Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), including inventory accuracy, transport performance, order fulfilment, spoilage rates, service levels and overall supply chain performance, and recommend corrective actions where required.
· Develop and recommend improvements to supply chain processes, operational procedures and analytical frameworks to enhance efficiency, regulatory compliance and product quality throughout the cold chain.
· Analyse international trade requirements, import and export regulations, quarantine controls and industry standards affecting the transportation and storage of perishable products, ensuring supply chain compliance.
· Collaborate with finance, sales, procurement, operations and senior management to provide analytical support for commercial planning, inventory strategies and supply chain decision-making.
· Prepare detailed analytical reports, dashboards, presentations and performance reviews for senior management to support strategic planning and operational decision-making.
· Research industry trends, emerging technologies, market developments and best practices in supply chain analytics, cold chain logistics and perishable goods management to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of supply chain optimisation projects, system improvements and business transformation initiatives across domestic and international logistics operations.
· Providing technical guidance and analytical direction to junior supply chain analysts and project team members, reviewing analytical outputs and ensuring the accuracy, consistency and quality of supply chain analysis and recommendations.
· Coordinating cross-functional supply chain improvement projects by working closely with procurement, logistics, warehousing, sales and finance teams to ensure project milestones, operational objectives and business outcomes are achieved.
Attribute Skills
· Bachelor's degree or higher qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, Commerce, or a closely related discipline.
· Minimum three years of full-time experience in supply chain analysis, logistics planning, freight forwarding, cold chain operations, or other closely related supply chain environments.
· Demonstrated experience in analysing and evaluating supply chain performance, operational efficiency, logistics costs, inventory management and distribution networks to support strategic business decision-making.
· Strong knowledge of supply chain planning, demand forecasting, inventory optimisation, transportation logistics, warehousing operations and distribution network analysis.
· Experience in analysing perishable, temperature-controlled or time-sensitive supply chains, with an understanding of cold chain requirements and product integrity management, is highly desirable.
· Sound knowledge of international freight forwarding, customs procedures, import and export operations, quarantine requirements and global supply chain practices.
· Demonstrated ability to prepare feasibility studies, business cases, commercial evaluations, analytical reports and strategic recommendations for senior management.
· Proficiency in data analysis, spreadsheet modelling, business reporting systems and supply chain performance measurement methodologies, with the ability to interpret complex operational data and provide evidence-based recommendations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify operational risks, evaluate supply chain vulnerabilities and develop practical risk mitigation strategies.
· Demonstrated experience in coordinating cross-functional projects and working collaboratively with internal departments, logistics partners, suppliers and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
· Ability to provide technical guidance and analytical support to project teams, ensuring the quality, consistency and accuracy of supply chain analysis and recommendations.
· Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
· Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate concurrent initiatives and meet project deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within multidisciplinary teams in an international logistics environment.
· Strong commercial awareness and understanding of market trends, supply chain technologies, international trade developments and best practices in perishable logistics and cold chain management.
Pay: $100,000.00 – $128,000.00 per year
