In the role of AI Platform Engineer, you will work closely with the AI Platforms team, contributing to key business priorities and continuously improving how we serve our customers.
You’ll make an impact each day by:
- Participate in system design including production of system and program documentation as well as ongoing maintenance, and mentoring junior staff in design principles, documentation standards, and best practices.
- Develop solutions and specifications so that agreed requirements can be converted into functional systems.
- Develop, program and code technology applications software solutions to meet agreed specifications. Improve, enhance and correct systems as necessary.
- Achieve key Systems Development Life Cycle stages in terms of quantity, timing and quality of all aspects of work allocated.
- Contribute to post implementation reviews to assess the effectiveness of the solution provided.
- Develop, Execute & Support comprehensive reusable test scripts and scenarios based on testing plan in accordance with standard procedures and templates.
You’ll bring to this role:
- Demonstrated experience in technology, including substantial experience in application support roles.
- Experience in managing end to end solutions in Kafka, Apache Spark, Databricks and Python or similar tools in a cloud environment.
- Knowledge of core AWS data services such as: S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue, Athena, DynamoDB, EMR, Kinesis, Apache Airflow, Kinesis Firehouse.
- Platform automation tools (DB Management, AWS, Jenkins, GITHUB)
- Software Delivery technical skills such as CI/CD, Build Servers, Software/Source Code Configuration Management.
- Strong technical capability across Python, SQL, and the Databricks platform.
