Ethical Nursing Care Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced full-time/casual Support Worker to join our team on a contract basis in Wetherill Park, and surrounding areas in NSW. As a Support Worker - Disability, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients with disabilities, ensuring their health and well-being needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
What you'll be doing
- Providing day-to-day support to people with a disability in various environments to help them improve their independence and achieve their personal goals!
- Assist participants with a range of personal activities including hygiene support, use of manual handling equipment, medication assistance, domestic assistance, meals
- Assist participants with engaging in community, social, and recreational activities
- Administering medications and providing wound care and other essential clinical interventions
- Monitoring clients' health and well-being, and reporting any changes or concerns to the care team
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and ensuring compliance with all relevant policies and regulations
What we're looking for
- Experience in Support Work (minimum 6 months working experience) or in a similar role, providing support work care to clients with disabilities.
- Experience working with people who have a disability and challenging behaviours
- Experience managing any type of challenging behaviours is required for this position
- Availability for regular shifts for an ongoing 24hr/7 day roster (sleepovers)
- Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification is required at commencement
You must have
- Experience in Disability and/or Aged Care industry
- Australian citizenship or permanent Australian working visa (full-time)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check verification
- NDIS Worker Orientation Training Module
- Australian Driver's license
- Own vehicle
- National Police Check
- Working With Children (WWC) Check
- Current First Aid and CPR or willing to obtain

Pay: $35.00 – $37.00 per hour
