What you will do
As security officer, you will help protect the department's information and technology.
You will support cyber security, information security and assurance work across the department.
You will:
- provide trusted cyber security advice and support to business areas
- coordinate important audits, security reviews and risk assessments
- maintain accurate information asset registers and security records
- respond to cyber and information security incidents and manage security requests
- deliver practical cyber security training, workshops and awareness activities.
About you
Qualifications in IT or cybersecurity are desirable. You must also be able to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Baseline security clearance.
You should also have:
- sound knowledge of cyber security, information security or protective security frameworks
- strong problem-solving skills and experience planning and delivering work
- clear communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- a collaborative approach and a commitment to inclusion and respectful behaviour.
