SPYDER INDUSTRIES AUSTRALIA is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, implement and maintain software applications and digital systems supporting our construction and automotive operations across Western Australia and New South Wales. On a full-time basis, you will be part of a multidisciplinary and well-supported team.
Title: Software Engineer, Full-time position
Salary: A$90,000.00 to A$98,000.00 plus super

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or a closely related field.
- Proven experience as a Software Engineer or Software Developer for at least 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of software design, development, testing and implementation.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with front-end and back-end development frameworks.
- Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases.
- Experience with application programming interfaces and third-party system integrations.
- Understanding of cloud-based systems, application deployment and software hosting environments.
- Experience using version control systems such as Git.
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, including Agile and the Software Development Life Cycle.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple development priorities.
- Ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
- System Analysis: Researching, consulting with stakeholders and analysing software and operational requirements.
- Software Design: Designing software architecture, application workflows, database structures and system integrations.
- Software Development: Writing, modifying and maintaining clean, efficient and secure program code.
- Application Development: Developing software applications to support construction projects, automotive operations, scheduling, inventory and customer management.
- Testing and Debugging: Testing, diagnosing and correcting software errors, system faults and performance issues.
- Quality Control: Conducting unit testing, integration testing and system testing to ensure software meets technical and operational requirements.
- System Implementation: Installing, configuring and implementing software applications and digital systems.
- Software Integration: Integrating internal applications with third-party platforms, cloud services and business systems.
- System Maintenance: Monitoring software performance and maintaining existing systems as business requirements change.
- Technical Support: Investigating software incidents and providing technical support to internal users and stakeholders.
- Documentation: Preparing and maintaining technical specifications, software documentation, user guides and operating procedures.
- Data Security: Applying secure software development practices and protecting company, employee and customer information.
- System Improvement: Identifying limitations in existing systems and recommending improvements to performance, reliability and scalability.
- Automation: Developing software solutions to automate repetitive operational and administrative processes.
- Deployment: Managing software updates, application releases and system deployment processes.
- Compliance: Ensuring software systems comply with company policies, privacy requirements and relevant information-security standards.
