The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Pharmacists to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
Independently apply professional knowledge and skills to deliver basic clinical pharmacy services
Resolve complex issues utilising evidence-based medicine and well-developed clinical knowledge
Provide input into the development of medication management policies and procedures
Develop clinical knowledge through active participation in ongoing education
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
A tertiary degree in Pharmacy
Registration as a Pharmacist with the Pharmacy Board of Australia (AHPRA)
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
Will be required to participate in on-call duties and work all shifts in accordance with the unit roster.

Salary
Permanent full time and permanent part time (several positions, hours negotiable)
Temporary full time and temporary part time (several positions, hours negotiable, up to 6 months with possibility of extension)
Base salary ranging from $80,015 - $116,189 per annum, $3,067.00 - $4,453.50 per fortnight or $40.35 - $58.59 per hour
About Us
Our team of approximately 130 Full Time Equivalent (FTE) Pharmacists are assisted in their roles by 50 support persons comprising pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, administration officers, purchasing and stores personnel. The dispensary at each of the two main hospital campuses are also equipped with automated dispensing Robots to facilitate dispensing, distribution and inventory management activities.
Operational and professional reporting lines for this position are to the Director of Pharmacy via the Pharmacist Advanced - Emergency, General Medicine, Aged Care at Robina Hospital.
