About the role
This position is offered on a full‑time basis, 35 hours per week.(negotiable), with flexible work arrangements available(Including a compressed working hours, WFH,RDO & TOIL accrual).
The Finance Team Leader is responsible for leading day-to-day finance operations, including billing, debtor management, payroll and financial administration, while supporting strategic financial management across the council.
Supervise NSC's Frontline Finance Team
Oversee and coordinate Council’s team of Finance and Revenue Officers in the delivery of their duties and ensure the efficient administration of Council’s finance systems and functions.
Grant acquittals
Coordinate the financial reporting of grants, subsidies, reserves and local infrastructure contributions.
Budget preparation and monitoring
Assist with the coordination of the annual budget and 10-year plan.
Rates & Water Billing Support
Support and supervise the rates and water billing function
Debtor Management
Manage, support and supervise Council debtors management function
Communication
Facilitate and triage enquiries and requests made to the finance team.
