About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. About the role
We are seeking a highly capable Mechanical Supervisor (Fixed Plant) to lead safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance execution across our fixed plant operations at Cadia. In this critical leadership role, you will drive maintenance performance, optimise plant reliability, and foster a strong safety culture while leading and developing a high-performing team.
Key responsibilities include:

Safety Leadership: Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all statutory and site requirements, and leading visible safety behaviours.

Maintenance Execution: Oversee planned and breakdown maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Asset Reliability: Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, defect elimination, and proactive reliability initiatives.

Planning & Coordination: Collaborate with planning and operations teams to optimise schedules, minimise downtime, and deliver on maintenance plans.

Cost Management: Monitor budgets, control maintenance spend and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.

Leadership & Development: Lead, coach, and develop maintenance crews while managing performance and contractor engagement.
About you
You are a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced mining environment and is passionate about safety, team development, and continuous improvement.
To be successful, you will have:

Proven experience in fixed plant mechanical maintenance within mining or heavy industry.

Demonstrated experience in a supervisory or leading hand role.

Strong knowledge of maintenance systems (e.g. SAP, Pronto) and work management processes.

A solid understanding of maintenance strategies, shutdown execution, and reliability practices.

Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
Please note this is a residential 7 days on 7 days off, rotating day and night shift work pattern.
