YOUR DAY TO DAY LIFE
Reporting to the Managing Director Australia, the Pharma & Allied Services Director is responsible for leading the pharmaceutical team in alignment with defined strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share for MNAQ Australia.
This role drives commercial performance through strategic leadership, customer engagement, and cross-functional collaboration.
With operations, the incumbent is responsible for building high-value customer partnerships that drive growth, align with the company’s mission, and deliver tailored solutions to address the challenges of pharmaceutical product safety and quality.
Strategy, Planning & Execution
- Lead revenue growth by designing and implementing strategic, and tactical initiatives that deliver on MNAQ Pharmaceutical financial commitments.
- Identify and evaluate market growth opportunities, collaborating across internal departments to drive business development in emerging testing services and new sub-market segments.
Market Development
- Identify and capitalize on growth opportunities, including emerging testing services and new market segments across key industry segments.
- Monitor market intelligence, including competitor activity, macroeconomic trends, and the regulatory environment.
- Collaborate effectively with the marketing team to execute strategies and demand-generation activities that achieve growth objectives.
Customer Partnerships
- Cultivate trusted, high-value customer partnerships through active senior-level engagement, service excellence, and proactive satisfaction management.
- Collaborate with regional teams to drive incremental growth by leveraging MNAQ’s value proposition and network-based selling solutions.
- Establish strategic relationships with Partners, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), and critical customers to identify and drive new business development, improve customer experience, and capture high-value opportunities to secure large business deals.
Team Leadership & Management
- Build and nurture a high-performing, customer-centric team through strategic talent acquisition, comprehensive coaching, ongoing development, and clear performance accountability.
- Drive commercial results by ensuring team proficiency in service articulation and needs-based selling while actively managing accounts, pipelines, and margin targets to meet business KPIs.
- Champion a culture of workplace safety by proactively identifying, assessing, reporting, and resolving OH&S hazards to maintain a compliant work environment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate strategically across internal departments at local, regional, and global levels to accelerate growth for MNAQ and the wider business.
- Effectively harness the expertise and resources of the MXNS and AQ organisation by cultivating and maintaining a robust network of internal and external connections to deliver optimal customer solutions.
YOUR PROFILE
- You hold a tertiary qualification in Business, Applied Science, or a related discipline, (MBA or equivalent experience desirable)
- You bring at least 10 years of technical sales experience within the Pharmaceutical, Allied, or Life Science industries
- You demonstrate significant experience in general management, including at least five years of direct P&L responsibility, alongside a proven ability to lead and coach high-performing teams
- You possess a strong track record of driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives, combined with the analytical skills to identify market trends and opportunities in a technical environment
- Proven success in working across internal departments, functions, and regions within a matrix organization to achieve commercial and strategic objectives
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills, coupled with the resilience to lead teams through organizational change while maintaining performance
- You demonstrate high computer literacy, including proficiency in Google Suite and experience with CRM (SFDC), ERP (JDE), and good understanding of LIMS platforms.
