About Our Role
Our Provisional Fellow in Clinical Neurophysiology will develop and refine their expertise in clinical neurophysiology by assessing patients, performing and interpreting investigations as part of the services of the Institute of Neurological Sciences. The Provisional Fellow will deliver clear, clinically relevant reports and operate under supervision in a high-acuity and complex clinical environment.
Highlights of our fellowship include:
Five supervised outpatient nerve conduction study/EMG clinics per week with direct consultant neurophysiologist input.
Exposure to a high volume of moderate- and high-complexity studies, including single-fibre EMG and repetitive nerve stimulation.
Daily inpatient neurophysiology, including studies in critically unwell patients.
Experience in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.
Regular reporting of somatosensory, visual, and vestibular evoked potentials.
Weekly reporting of both adult and paediatric EEGs.
Participation in alternating nerve and muscle and neuroimmunology clinics.
Strong opportunities for research involvement, with scope to contribute to ongoing projects and potential progression to higher degree research.

Prince of Wales Hospital and Community Health Services is a major teaching hospital and tertiary referral centre based on the Randwick Hospitals Campus. We provide excellent healthcare to SESLHD and specialist health and medical services to NSW. We connect with various universities including the University of New South Wales. We have 450 inpatient beds and almost 3,000 staff. Each year we care for more than 64,000 patients in our Emergency Department and around 50,000 patients are admitted to our Hospital. We also have a busy outpatient service and rural outreach service and provide more than 900,000 occasions of non-admitted patient care each year.
