The Physiotherapy Department at Cairns Hospital delivers a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services across acute, sub-acute and specialist care settings. Our team provides expert care across diverse clinical areas including emergency, intensive care, rehabilitation, paediatrics, oncology, orthopaedics, aged care and stroke services, supporting positive health outcomes for communities across Far North Queensland.

About you:
In your new role you will....
Provide effective operational management for the Physiotherapy service at Cairns Hospital and as otherwise requested.
Apply strategic management and clinical knowledge and skills to contribute to the strategic direction of the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service, in relation to Physiotherapy service delivery and patient safety, and to provide authoritative counsel to stakeholders.
Utilise higher level interpersonal and negotiation skills to advocate for human and financial resources to promote strategic initiatives, and provide authoritative counsel to the management teams and clinical directors throughout the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service.
Work collaboratively with Executive Director of Allied Health to implement health reforms relevant to the profession, as well as the national health reform agenda.
Apply detailed knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, procedures, workplace instructions, Health Service Directives, and their application within the field of Physiotherapy.
