Converged Medical Solutions is a managed services provider specialising in cybersecurity and Microsoft 365 solutions for healthcare, government, and commercial organisations across Australia.
We are seeking an experienced Computer Network and Systems Engineer to plan, develop, deploy, and optimise network and system services across our client base. The role takes responsibility for configuration management and operational readiness of network systems — particularly in environments with multiple operating systems and configurations — and provides troubleshooting and fault-finding services for network problems. The successful candidate will also coordinate our offshore BPO partner operations and support healthcare clients running clinical practice management systems. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Network & Systems Engineering
- Analyse, develop, interpret, and evaluate complex system design and architecture specifications, data models, and diagrams in the development, configuration, and integration of computer systems
- Research, analyse, evaluate, and monitor network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance
- Assess and recommend improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications, and operating systems
- Provide specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies
- Install, configure, test, maintain, and administer new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers, and workstations
- Provide network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements
- Prepare and maintain procedures and documentation for network inventory, and record diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions
- Monitor network traffic, activity, capacity, and usage to ensure continued integrity and optimal network performance
Cybersecurity & Cloud Services
- Implement and manage cybersecurity solutions aligned with the Essential Eight maturity model
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 environments including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID
- Administer and optimise Azure cloud services, Windows Server, and Active Directory environments
- Conduct quality assurance processes for system infrastructure and client service delivery
Healthcare Practice Application Support
- Provide technical support for healthcare practice management systems including Best Practice and Karisma
- Assist healthcare clients with application configuration, updates, data migrations, and integrations
- Troubleshoot connectivity, database, and performance issues specific to clinical software environments
- Ensure healthcare IT environments meet relevant compliance and data security requirements
- Liaise with software vendors and healthcare practice managers to resolve application-level issues
BPO Partner Coordination
- Act as the primary operational contact for the offshore BPO provider in the Philippines
- Monitor partner performance, quality metrics, and adherence to contractual SLAs
- Conduct regular governance and performance reviews with BPO leadership
- Lead service improvement initiatives, knowledge transfer, and cross-team training
- Maintain alignment between BPO processes and Converged service standards
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience of 5+ years)
- Demonstrated experience in network and systems engineering across enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure design, configuration, monitoring, and optimisation
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID)
- Experience supporting healthcare practice management software such as Best Practice, Karisma, or similar clinical systems
- Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, particularly the Australian Essential Eight
- Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and Azure cloud services
- Experience coordinating or managing offshore/BPO teams, including performance monitoring and SLA governance
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills across networks, systems, and applications
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and cross-cultural teams
Desirable
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, AZ-104, AZ-700, SC-200)
- Experience working in managed services or MSP environments
- Familiarity with Australian healthcare IT compliance requirements
- Experience with remote monitoring and management (RMM) tools and PSA platforms
Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
